Session TimesI am a natural light photographer which means that I use natural outdoor light for your photo shoot. The best time of day for a photo shoot is early morning or late afternoon.
Babies and children do best in the early morning after breakfast when they are well-rested and fed. Newborns may take longer than 90 minutes depending on the baby's needs.
Locations
Photo sessions take place at an outdoor location of your choice in the Greenville area, such as a neighborhood park, playground, your backyard... wherever you are most comfortable. Contact me if you have a special location request.

Tips on what to wear
- Plan to wear clothing that is comfortable and properly sized. You might like to bring extra outfits depending on the quantity and type of shots you prefer.
- Solid colors are always a good choice for portraits.
- While white clothing is popular for beach locations, it isn’t the best color choice for most portraits. Remember, light colors make the subject look larger.
- Large patterns or stripes should be avoided.
- Adults should not wear sleeveless tops or short shorts. Adults will usually be more pleased with their photos if they choose long sleeves and pants or skirts.
- For group sessions, everyone does not need to match, but consider coordinating your colors and patterns so that no one is distracting from the total portrait. Solid colors are always a good choice for groups.
- Don’t forget that shoes may or may not be visible in portraits. Children will usually be photographed barefoot.
Special tips for small children
Photographing children and pets can be a challenge so bring along anything you feel will make them feel more comfortable such as a blanket or toys. Does your child have a passion? A favorite hat, stuffed animal? You may want to consider a change of clothes just in case. Also, snacks may be helpful but be aware of the mess that could ruin that special moment.
