The Big Day

I had the opportunity a couple of weeks ago to do some portrait photography. This is something I haven't done before. I like landscapes and architecture and have really never tackled this aspect.
This was my nephew's Junior/Senior banquet. His school has a banquet rather than a prom. The kids were so great and helpful as I had no clue how to go about photographing such a big day for them. But as the time went on I really started to enjoy the shoot.
I took photos of several of the couples but don't have permission to post them. Too bad because they looked so nice!  However, my nephew has allowed me to post a couple of the shots of him that I really like. He looks so grown up!! What happened to that cute little kid? Still cute I say.
I like the color photos so much. But then I tried Irish Breakfast Tea action from Coffee Shop and I really love how elegant they look now, especially for this formal occasion.
