Topaz Adjust and HDR Darkroom

I got the chance to visit New York City with my sister and her family in September.  I had never been there before and I was excited to finally get the chance to see it.  We stayed at the Courtyard Marriot in Midtown which gave us the opportunity to get to just about everything we wanted to see.  But we only had 4 days to see it all so we hurried the whole time.
I had purchased my Nikon in July so I really hadn't had much time to practice with it and with all the hurrying I'm just amazed I came back with any photos at all.  I was glad to get lots of pictures but they just needed help.  These two programs are my new best friends. Topaz Adjust is a plug in for Photoshop or Photoshop Elements (I use PSE 5).  HDR Darkroom  is a stand alone program that can either use several exposures of an image to create and HDR image or you can create an HDR-like image from a single file.

See how these programs helped bring out details and make my so-so photos a little better.  Here you can see the original, with HDR Darkroom and with Topaz Adjust applied.

Next time I travel I hope I won't need so much help from Photoshop.
