Greenville, An Ordinary Place

A friend of mine posted this quote on facebook the other day and I really liked it.
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” ~~ Elliott Erwitt
So I consider where I live ordinary.  That is my goal, to try to see things differently.  I don't think I achieved that in these photos but this is what I saw in downtown Greenville this week.

Wyche Pavilion
"Located next to The Peace Center Amphitheatre along the Reedy River, the Wyche Pavilion is one of Greenville's oldest commercial buildings. Today, this unique open-air brick structure is a favorite locale for weddings, receptions, cocktail and dinner parties, and large social gatherings." --from PeaceCenter.org

Old Cigar Warehouse
This classic Coca-Cola advertisement appears on the Old Cigar Warehouse in the historic West End of Greenville. It is not original but a recreation which has been recently painted.
